South China braces for tropical storm

Residents in southern China a bracing for tropical storm, which is expected to make landfall in eastern Guangdong and southern Fujian province later today. According to a Xinhua report, local officials have warned that winds stronger than 70kph and waves as high as six metres might hit the coast from around 6pm local time. Between 30 and 80mm of rainfall is expected, and travellers should prepare for flight delays.
