A China Airlines (CAL) flight from Taiwan to Sydney was delayed for three hours Friday evening after a hoax bomb threat was called in. CAL received a telephone call stating there was a bomb aboard flight CI051 which triggered a series of compulsory safety checks. According to the China Post, the call was made about 90 minutes before takeoff and is the fourth incident of its kind this year. The Aviation Police Bureau is now analysing phone records to trace the source of the call. No explosives were found on board the plane.
