Man enters zoo bear enclosure to save daughter

Published on Aug 23, 2010

A father climbed into a bear enclosure at a zoo in Germany to save three year-old daughter, who had entered the animal’s pen. According to a BBC report, the 34 year-old Dutchman was attacked by the Asian black bear, but not before he was able to rescue his young daughter from the bear’s clutches. Both father and daughter were taken to hospital after the incident at the private zoo in Luenebach, western Germany, although neither are thought to have life-threatening injuries.
