Macau's Ponte 16 hosts pop culture auction

Ponte 16 Resort Hotel (Ponte 16) hosted the “Ponte 16 ‘Legends’ - a premier auction of pop culture artifacts press conference to announce Ponte 16’s further partnership with Julien’s Auctions, bringing the best collection of Hollywood treasures to Asia for public viewing, as well as the first ever auction in Asia.

This is the second time the two are in partnership, following the highly successful “Rock the World” Exhibition in May. More than 400 auction items are brought in, with over a 100 to be put on display at Ponte 16 as the grand finale of a world tour lasting from 24 September to 8 October. The historic auction will be held on October 9 at Ponte 16, with buyers and collectors from all over the world in attendance, making it the biggest and most “star-studded” event in Macau and Asia. Ponte 16 plans for this to be the first of a series of world-class annual events to increase visitor traffic from all over the world.

A few highlights of the collection made its debut at the press conference today, including Michael Jackson’s Bad Tour “Beat It” jacket, black glove and arm brace, Princess Diana’s ball gown, Elvis Presley’s owned and worn shirt, Bruce Lee’s “Game of Death” costume and shoes, stage ensemble of Madonna in “The Girlie Show World Tour”, Jim Carrey’s Riddler costume from Batman Forever and the signed promotional photo of The Beatles.
