South Korea’s new Formula One circuit will host its first races next month. The Yeongam circuit, in South Jeolla province, will be the location for the Asian Festival of Speed weekend at the end of September, a month before it plays host to the inaugural F1 Korean Grand Prix in late October. Despite speculation over Yeongam’s readiness to host events, organisers have said the 5.62km track will open offi cially on 5 September.
