New name and logo for flagship brand...
Hilton Worldwide has unveiled a new brand name and logo for its flagship brand. Hilton Hotels will now be known as Hilton Hotels & Resorts, to better represent the brand’s portfolio of more than 70 resorts in 25 countries. The branding change continues Hilton’s enhanced leisure strategy for the brand. The Hilton Hotels & Resorts development pipeline currently includes more than 11 resort properties, including to Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, and Hangzhou, China. As well as adding the ‘Hotels & Resorts’ tag, the new logo also features a blue colour, a new custom-made font for the ‘Hilton’ name, and a smaller ‘cartouche’, which is intended to place more emphasis on the Hilton name. The redesign is the fi rst change to the brand’s logo since 1998. The refreshed Hilton Hotels & Resorts logo will initially be used in brand activities and communications, and will be introduced at the property level in 2011. Hilton Worldwide’s logos and imagery will remain unchanged. “Generations of global travellers share a strong connection with our brand identity,” said Dave Horton, Global Head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand. “Our name and core mark are both recognisable and incredibly powerful. This evolution reflects the modern style and world-class resorts that define our brand today.”
