New terminal opens at Delhi airport

The new Terminal 3 (T3) has opened at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The Economic Times reported that the new terminal, which is said to be the sixth largest in the world, was inaugurated by India’s Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, on Saturday. T3 which is spread over 4km2 and boasts more than 90 automated walkways and 78 aerobridges, will increase the airport’s capacity to 60 million passengers per year.
