Hanoi house to be preserved as tourist site
Published on Jul 2, 2010
Authorities in Hanoi have announced plans to preserve an old house in the city’s Hoan Kiem District as a tourist site. According to the Vietnam National Administration for Tourism (VNAT), the house exhibits a combination of Vietnamese and French architecture. A red-tiled roof is curved in the style of a traditional Vietnamese pagoda, while large pillars and windows reflect a Parisian style. After preservation, the house will be developed as a tourist destination for city tours in Hanoi.
