Same-day move for Delhi T3 flights

Published on Jun 25, 2010

The relocation of airlines to the new Terminal 3 at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport will be completed on the same day next month rather than in a phased roll-out, according to an Economic Times report. The single shift of all 58 international airlines, scheduled to take place on 4 July, is designed to avoid confusion among passengers. Domestic airlines will move on 30 July, with a view to starting operations a day later. The new T3 is part of the first phase of IGI Airport’s expansion plans, which will boost the airport’s annual passenger capacity to 60 million passengers per year.
