A former photographer at the Khmer Rouge’s notorious Tuol Sleng prison has begun construction of a museum to house his collection of regime memorabilia, the Phnom Penh Post has reported. The new museum in Oddar Meanchey, the province where Pol Pot died, will contain what are claimed to be the Khmer Rouge leader’s shoes and toilet. Construction on the 175m2 facility is expected to take less than three months, although a larger museum is planned.
