Kolkata palace to get makeover

The Sova Bazar Palace in Kolkata has started a major renovation project, the Times of India has reported. Undertaken by the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, the work will see upgrades to major areas of the palace and surrounding courtyard, including the famous Thakur Dalan. The work is expected to cost INR180 million (US$3.8 million).
