Investigators call off search for Air France black box
Published on May 26, 2010
Investigators trying to locate the flight recorders of the Air France that crashed into the Atlantic Ocean last year have called off their search. According to a Bloomberg report, the hunt for the black boxes was called off as leases on robot submarines had expired. Air France Flight 447 crashed en route from Rio de Janeiro to Paris, killing all 228 people on board. It was reported last month that investigators had found the area where the flight recorders were situated, but could not identify the exact location.
