Italian specialists to restore Hanoi streets
Specialists from the Italian city of Genoa have been employed to help with the restoration of the streets in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. The move was announced at a press conference held by the Italian Embassy in the Vietnamese capital, and announced by the Vietnam National Administration for Tourism (VNAT). The event heard from Giorgio Parodi, Chairman of the Genoa Association of Architects, who advised that a new plan needed to be drawn up to plan the restoration work. Hanoi’s Old Quarter covers 1km2 in the centre of the capital.
