5/11/2010
Authorities in Hanoi are planning to relocate approximately 1,800 families from the city’s famous Old Quarter, Thanh Nien News has reported. The residents of the popular tourist area will be moved to a new urban area. The Vietnamese capital is investing VND4 trillion (US$206 million) into the project, which is aimed at reducing the Old Quarter’s population density.
