Shark tank leak at Dubai aquarium
Published on Feb 26, 2010
A leak in a tank holding 400 sharks and stingrays forced the partial closure and evacuation of Dubai Mall yesterday, as shoppers had to avoid a torrent of water gushing from the aquarium. According to a Gulf News report, water poured out of the structure but none of the sea creatures got out. The aquarium has the capacity to hold 10 million litres of water. Shops in the vicinity shuttered their doors and windows to avoid flooding, the report added.
