Thailand approves new skytrain routes

Thailand’s Commission for the Management of Land Traffic has approved two additional Bangkok’s skytrain routes and an Airport Rail Link extension to the capital’s second airport, Don Mueang. According to a report in The Nation, the new Orange and Pink routes, running from Phya Thai to Thon Buri and from Min Buri to Pak Kret respectively, will cost around THB400 million (US$12 million). The new routes form part of the 20-year skytrain plan, which involves the development of 12 new routes at a cost of THB800 billion.
