
One dead as earthquake hits Sichuan

One person was killed, 13 were injured and more than 2,000 had to be relocated after a 5.0 magnitude earthquake struck China’s Sichuan province early yesterday, Xinhua has reported. The earthquake, which centred near the city of Suining, 140km east of Chengdu, also damaged a dam and toppled 210 houses, the report added.
