All of the 90 passengers and crew on board an Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed into the Mediterranean Sea yesterday are feared dead, the BBC has reported. The Boeing 737-800 had just taken off from Beirut airport en route to the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, when it crashed in bad weather. Eyewitnesses said they saw a fl ash in the sky before the jet crashed, but Lebanon’s Defence Minister, Elias Murr, was reported saying that he had “ruled out foul play”. So far 25 bodies have been recovered from the site.
