Game Poles now available at HKIA

Hong Kong, 24 January 2010 – Airport Authority Hong Kong today announced the cooperation with Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong Ltd (SCEH), the developer of PlayStation®3. The PS3TM Game Poles, with a total of 14 units of PlayStation®3, are installed at various locations in the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for free public access.

Stationed at various spots including areas near the boarding gates at Terminal 1 and the Coach Station at Terminal 2, these PS3TM Game Poles allow travellers to enjoy themselves while waiting for departure. HKIA is one of the busiest airports around the globe, handling the world’s fourth highest international passenger volume*. Research shows that departing passengers’ dwell time is around 4 hours at HKIA, with an average of over 3 hours being spent within the restricted area**. HKIA is devoted to providing passengers with the best facilities and services. This commitment has earned HKIA the world’s best airport recognitions over 25 times by 10 entities.
