According to a recent survey of over 3,900 participants, 55 percent of Singaporeans make less than five attempts to read per year. Although most cited a lack of free time, only 7 percent said that they would pick up a book on vacation. On July 30, in honor of Singapore's first National Reading Day, Jetstar aims to reignite the nation's love of the printed page by handing out 500 donated books to passengers at boarding gates in Changi Airport Terminal 1.
