Vietnam Airlines Adds New A350 XWB To Lineup

Vietnam Airlines happily welcomed a brand new Airbus A350-XWB to its fleet on Friday, becoming the second airlines in the world to utilize this new aircraft from Toulouse.
The plane is the first of a planned ten A350 aircraft to be added to the fleet. Its inaugural route will be Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh on the domestic side, then later servicing the Hanoi-Paris route. According to Vietnam Airlines Vice President Trinh Ngoc Thanh, the addition of this aircraft is the first step in the process of upgrading the company's long-haul fleet.
Airbus's new A350 is the newest plane on the market at the moment, and what this means for passengers of Vietnam Air is an ultra-wide cabin, a three class configuration, and the newest technology in fuel efficiency in the form of Rolls Royce Trent XWB engines.
