There is also a 10-day 'Culture & Cuisine in Borneo' tour that includes a series of guided tours and homestays, while the 'Borneo Wildlife Watch' tour offers a mountain bike ride through the rainforest and several opportunities to view Borneo's nature in jungle lodges and wildlife sanctuaries.

Finally, the 'Borneo Family Expedition' includes a walking tour of Kuching, a visit to the orang-utan sanctuary and a guided tour of the Bako National Park.

"Borneo represents some of Asia's wildest terrain, with its lush, dense jungles and exotic wildlife," said Backyard Travel's general manager, Maeve Nolan.
