New facility will feature four flight simulators by 2016
The new Pan Am International Flight Training Center has celebrated its grand opening in Bangkok.
The result of a joint venture between All Nippon Airways (ANA), Nok Air, and Thailand's Assumption University, the new flight training centre is located on Assumption's Suvarnabhumi Campus, near Bangkok's main international airport.
It will initially house classrooms and conference rooms, plus an Airbus A320 full-flight simulator. A Boeing 737 simulator will be added in the first quarter of 2015, followed by two additional full-motion simulators in 2016.
The centre was opened by Gary Anderson, CEO of the new Pan Am training centre.
"Pan Am's commitment to this region is demonstrated in the opening of this training centre," said Anderson. "We believe it to be a perfect location for us and we couldn't be more pleased with the partnerships and interest this is generating."
