Lhasa landmark exceeds one million visitors

Lhasa's most famous landmark, the Potala Palace, welcomed more than one million visitors in 2012. According to the latest data from Tibetan tourism authorities, reported by Xinhua, the Dalai Lama's former residence attracted 1.01 million tourists last year, or one tenth of all visitors to Tibet. Approximately 98% of visitors to Tibet are Chinese tourists.
