Woman gives birth on flight

Published on Jan 21, 2013

Flight attendants were given a shock recently when a woman gave birth on an international flight. According to the BBC, the pregnant woman was onboard an Armavia plane fl ying from Russia to Armenia when she went into labour. Realising there was no time to land the aircraft and reach a hospital, the cabin crew helped deliver the baby girl at 30,0000 feet. The flight landed in the Armenian capital Yerevan as scheduled, only with an extra passenger onboard. The baby was named Hamsik, after
Hasmik Ghevondyan - the flight attendant who helped deliver her.
