Shanghai plans driverless buses

Shanghai will trial a new fleet of driverless buses this year, local media reported officials as saying on Friday. According to the Shanghai Daily, the new buses will be rolled-out in the city's Minhang district. The buses will look the same as existing vehicles, but will instead run on magnetic rails, with a series of sensors ensuring that vehicles stop at stations and avoid collisions.
