New York airports reopen
11/1/2012
JFK and Newark airports reopened yesterday as the US eastern seaboard began to recover from devastation brought by Hurricane Sandy. According to reports, the cost of clearing up could rise to US$40 billion. Power outages are still being experienced in the region and New York’s subway remains closed. Sandy is now moving further north, but is expected to weaken as it enters Canada.
