Flights hit as Hurricane Sandy approaches New York

Flights to the US Eastern Seaboard will be disrupted today as the area braces for the arrival of Hurricane Sandy, which is expected to make landfall on Monday. Most airlines have cancelled their flights to New York today, while all public transport in the city closed down on Sunday night. The slow-moving storm has already killed 60 people in the Caribbean.
