Banyan Tree opens urban resort in Shanghai

Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts has debuted in Shanghai with the launch of an urban resort on the banks of the Huangpu River. Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund becomes the fi rst hotel in the city to off er river views from each of its 130 rooms. Accommodation types include the Oasis Rooms with private dipping pools and the Banyan Suite which off ers its own swimming pool - another unique selling point in Shanghai. The hotel’s food and beverage outlets include a Western seafood outlet, a Chinese restaurant, Japanese sashimi and sushi counter and an alfresco rooftop bar, also with views of Huangpu. Other facilities include a three level Banyan Tree Spa with 11 treatment rooms, a beauty salon and nail bar. It becomes Banyan Tree’s third city hotel, following Bangkok, Macau and Seoul.
