Floods return to Thailand
Published on Sep 18, 2012
Flooding returned to Thailand over the weekend, as heavy rains caused rivers to burst their banks in several central and northern provinces. The Nation reported that the tourist provinces of Sukhothai and Ayutthaya were both affected, as were areas of Phitsanulok and Nakhon Sawan. The Chao Praya River, which flows through Bangkok, overflowed in some areas, but the Thai capital is so far unaffected.
