Bomb threat hits Finnair flight

A bomb threat was made against a Finnair light enroute to New York yesterday. The flight departed Helsinki yesterday, arriving JFK airport at 1515 local time, despite a phone call threatening a hijacking and potential bombing. The plane was checked on arrival and passengers were only permitted to disembark after the authorities gave the allclear. “We are sorry about the worry and delay this hoax threat caused our passengers. The plane has now been checked and given an all-clear,” says Ville Iho, Finnair Chief Operating Officer.
