Asia on alert for Typhoon Bolaven
08/28/2012

Airports across Northeast Asia are on alert as Typhoon Bolaven continues to barrel across the Pacific Ocean. Having wreaked havoc in the island of Okinawa, causing the cancellation of flights and ferry services, Bolaven is now heading north to the Korean Peninsula. Several airlines, including Korean Air and Asiana, have warned passengers of possible disruption today, while Seoul’s Incheon International Airport said that “many flights” are likely to be delayed or canceled. In China meanwhile, around 70 flights were canceled at Shanghai's two airports yesterday afternoon as the typhoon swept closer to the city.
