Ten Million visit Taiwan national parks

The number of visitors to Taiwan's eight major national parks broke the 10 million mark in the first half of 2012, according to data from the country's Ministry of the Interior. The figure of 10.02 million represents an increase of 17.4%, or 1.48 million visitors, from the first half of last year. Of the eight parks, Kenting was the most popular, recording more than three million visitors. Yangmingshan near Taipei and Taroko Park in Hualien were the second and third most popular. Taiwan News
