Opera comes to the Outback
Published on Jul 24, 2012
Opera will return in the Australian Outback later this year, with a unique open air performance. Running from 4-7 October 2012, 'Opera in the Outback' will use Queensland's lava-sculpted landscape of Undara, 275km west of Cairns, as a natural outdoor amphitheatre in which to showcase the world of opera. Guests, who will stay in tents, campervans and caravans, are expected to dress in black tie and ball gowns.
