Published on Jul 10, 2012
The Beijing-Shanghai bullet train service, which has suffered a series of power failures following its 2011 launch, broke down again on Sunday. The Shanghai Railway Bureau said yesterday that a high-speed train to Beijing halted on the tracks, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded and delaying a further six services on the route by up to an hour. The Shanghai Daily also reported that several services to Hangzhou were delayed or cancelled on Saturday.
