Women protest Shanghai Metro clothing rules

Women in Shanghai have protested over comments made by the operator of the city’s Metro about how female passengers should dress. According to the China Daily, a blog from Shanghai No 2 Subway Co called on women to "cherish themselves" by avoiding wearing skimpy clothing. The company even said that it is "not surprising" that women are harassed if they wear such clothes. The blog sparked a protest at several Metro stations.
