Deadly quake hits southern China

An earthquake has rattled southern China’s Yunnan and Sichuan provinces yesterday, killing four people and injuring more than 100. Local media reported the China Earthquake Network Center as saying that the 5.7-magnitude quake toppled houses and cut off communications in mountainous areas of south Sichuan and northwest Yunnan. Of those injured 20 are reported to be in a serious condition, according to Xinhua.
