What is believed to be the world’s longest kayak has taken to the water in the US state of Maine. American company LL Bean created the 124-meter-long vessel using 100 standard kayaks, and is now planning to apply for entry into the Guinness Book of Records. The inaugural voyage saw 100 company employees paddle the kayak across a lake near the town of Freeport. “It was pretty incredible to look down the boat, you could tell people had a smile on their face,” company spokesperson Scott Balentine was reported saying by Orange News. “Then, when we started to paddle, it was amazing to watch the whole thing go.”
