Air Canada named as world’s safest airline
Air Canada has been named as the world’s safest airline. The Canadian national carrier topped the Holistic Safety Rating 2012 chart, published by the Air Transport Rating Agency (ATRA), ahead of Air France-KLM and AMR Corp, the parent company of American Airlines. From the Asia Pacific region however, only Qantas made the top 10 (seventh place), while no Middle Eastern airline were included. The ratings were based on 15 based on areas such as age and quality of fleet.
