Disgruntled passenger issues bomb threat

A China Airlines flight carrying 251 passengers was delayed by a hoax bomb threat at Taipei on Tuesday. The threat was called in by a former member of the carrier’s Dynasty Flyer program. Mr. Chen had made several threats in the days before, and triggered a mandatory sweep of the Jakarta bound A380, which departed 45 minute late. According to the China Post, Mr Chen has been taken into custody and faces a jail sentence of up to three years or a fi ne up to NT$1 million (US$33,700) under the Civil Aviation Act.
