Anti-Lady Gaga rally to be held in Jakarta

Published on May 25, 2012

A hardline group has announced plans to hold a rally against Lady Gaga in Jakarta on Friday. Police have already withdrawn the permit for the Indonesian leg of the US singer’s Asian tour, but the Islamic People’s Forum (FUI) said the protest was still necessary, to “urge the police and related institutions to rebuff Lady Gaga”. Local news portal tribunnews. com reported the FUI as saying that the Grammy Award-winning artist “shows off symbols of the Illuminati and paganism”. Other groups have already accused the singer of promoting Satanism. Lady Gaga will be performing in Bangkok on Friday.
