China landslide leaves hundreds stranded

A landslide in northwest China's Xinjiang region has left hundreds of travelers stranded, the China Daily has reported. Saturday's incident blocked a section of a major highway, trapping 400 vehicles. No-one was reported injured. The incident took place on the National Highway 314, which stretches nearly 2,000km from regional capital Urumqi to close to the border with Pakistan.
