Air Passengers prefer airport food

While the airlines may not be making money on food service, airport restaurants are. According to a survey conducted by GO Airport Express, a US-based ground transport provider, just 2% of travelers say they purchase food on the plane.
The poll of 400 air travellers in the US found that 55% of people purchased food after going through airport security. Twenty six percent reported they don’t spend any money on food from the time they leave home to when they arrive at their destination, while 8% bring their own food. Four percent said they eat before they go through security and just 4% purchase food on the plane.
