New bridge collapses in China

A bridge being built over the Lianshui River in central China's Hunan province has fallen apart during construction, the China Daily has reported. The CNY108 million (US$17 million), 426-metrelong bridge broke in two on 12 March after more than two years of construction. An investigation is underway.
