A section of a high-speed rail line has collapsed in central China’s Hubei province. State news agency Xinhua reported that the 300-meter stretch of track, which will form part of a new 291km line linking Wuhan with Yichang, gave way on Friday after days of heavy rain. The line is currently under construction and had been expected to open in May.
