Singapore has ranked third on Forbes’ annual ‘World’s Richest Country’ list. The list, which is based on annual IMF data and then analysed and adjusted by economists, found Singapore to have GDP per capita of nearly US$56,700 - behind only Qatar (US$88,000) and Luxembourg (US$81,000).
In the study, Forbes measured GDP per capita adjusted for purchasing power across 182 nations, taking into account the relative cost of living and inflation rates.
