Five people were injured in Vietnam's Mekong Delta after falling 16 meters when a cable device used to lift people up to an amusement ride slipped due to a technical error. The accident occurred at Huong Mai Tourism Area in Chau Phu District in An Giang Province last week, reports Thanh Nien News. The Vietnamese nationals were all rushed to hospital and are now in a stable condition, however one woman is receiving treatment for damage to her spinal cord. Police are investigating the incident which underlines the need for tighter regulations to protect tourist safety in the country.
