Hat Yai tourism bounces back in the year of the dragon

Thailand’s southern city of Hat Yai is witnessing a surge in tourism through the Chinese New Year period. Hat Yai-Songkhla Hotel Association President, Somchart Pimthanapoonporn, told MCOT that all hotel rooms in the city were fully booked 23-31 January as domestic tourists and visitors from Thailand’s neighbouring countries have confidence in the safety measures and have shrugged off the floods that have occurred and may be yet to come during this season.
