New night market opens in Hue

A brand new night market has opened in the historic Vietnamese city of Hue. The pedestrian-only market opened to shoppers on 2 January 2012, along the city’s Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street. According to local authorities, it will open daily from 5-11pm and will feature more than 100 stalls selling handicrafts, arts, consumer goods and food. The former royal capital of Vietnam, the central city of Hue attracts an estimated 1.6 million tourists per year.
