Tourists affected by flooding in southern Thailand

Tourists in Hat Yai were affected by foodwaters that hit the city over the New Year weekend. The Bangkok Post reports that many tourists from Malaysia and Singapore were left stranded in hotels because they could not use the road to Sadao, at the border with Malaysia. Bus services were delayed along the route as operators waited for waters to subside. Nine buses that ply the Singapore-Hat Yai route are believed to have been aff ected, disrupting travel for hundred of passengers.
